# PumpkinSnap

> PumpkinSnap is a browser based photo system for pumpkin patches and pumpkin farms. Staff take framed photos of visiting families on any smartphone, each family scans a QR code to claim their photos by email, and the farm builds a consented mailing list. One price of $99 covers the 2026 pumpkin season, from sign up until 15 November.

## Who it is for

* Teams that want every family photo to carry their own name, and want contact details for next season

## How it works

1. Take the pictures: staff shoot on any phone with the farm's branded autumn frame live in the viewfinder.
2. The family scans their QR code: tapping finish shows a QR code personal to that family, plus a short backup code. Staff move straight on to the next family.
3. Photos land in their inbox: the family types their own name and email and ticks their own consent box. Their framed photos are emailed to them, in the field or on the drive home.
4. The farm gets their contact details: families who tick the box join the farm's mailing list, which can be downloaded at any time.

* No app for families or staff; everything runs in the web browser
* Works on any modern smartphone with a camera, on wifi or mobile data
* Staff never type a family's email address, so the queue keeps moving
* Backup claim codes stay valid for two days, so families can claim at home
* Photos can go on a TV or big screen as a live slideshow, and staff can hide any photo
* Farms pick an autumn frame with their farm name on it, or have their own logo placed free of charge
* Consent is given by the family themselves; the box starts unticked
* Practice mode lets a team test as much as they like before going live; practice photos are never sent to families
* Setup is self service: pay online, name the farm, pick a frame, choose staff and manager PINs, download three QR code sheets
